The Banner report PWRPTWL provides a way for Division Deans to ensure compliance with the contractual limits on Part- time Faculty workload by providing a printable format in which to view/track instructional FTE for an individual instructor, a group of instructors, an entire department, or a group of departments over an entire academic year.
According to Article 4.21 of the Faculty/AP Contract, Part-time Faculty cannot be assigned a workload that equals or exceeds .82 FTE college-wide, unless the assignment is approved as an exception in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding on Part-time Faculty Teaching Limit and Workload Exception [pdf]. Under this Memorandum, Part-time Faculty may be assigned a workload of 1.03 FTE college-wide, provided that the exception does not occur more than one term per academic year. The assignment must be approved by the Division Dean.
Two reports are created when you run PWRPTWL: a download-friendly version and a report like the one shown below.
The second report that is created when you run PWRPTWL (the download-friendly version, which includes an "01" in its title) shows all classes taught by an instructor or group of instructors, details about each class, and the FTE for each class being taught. Please note that the column called "IFTE" represents the total FTE earned for the entire Term for that instructor. - From the Banner Main Menu, type PWRPTWL, then press Enter.
- Click the Go button.
- Click the Next Section icon to get down to the "Parameter Values" section.
4. With your curser on the right side of the Parameter Values section (see picture above), type in the following information:

Optional -- Enter the G Number of the instructor if you are running the report for only one, or a few, instructor(s).
Leave this value blank if you wish to run the report based on an entire department or group of departments.
To enter more than one G Number::
|03 Attendance Method|
Optional -- Enter the department Attendance Method Code(s) associated with the group of instructors you want for your report.
Leave this value blank if you used Parameter 02 above to specify instructor G Number(s) instead.
If you want to indicate more than one Attendance Method:

When you are finished typing in the parameter values detailed above,
5. Click the Next Sectionicon.
6. Click the Save button.

7. Open Report Viewer and view your report.
