Banner Population Selection -- SWRPOPR (Classes Registered For)

The Banner report SWRPOPR, part of the Common Population Selection process, creates a report of all classes that a given population of students has registered for. Only one term at a time can be selected. This report can be run after the user has gone through the steps to specify a population in GLBDATA. For more information about earlier steps, refer to the Population Selection Overview.

  1. From the Banner Main Menu, type SWRPOPR, then press Enter.

  2. Click the Go button and then Next Section icon to get to the "Parameter Values" block.
    • OR, you can just click with your mouse in the third section, "Parameter Values."

  3. On the right side of the Parameter Values section, complete the parameter values as shown:


What to Type

Options / Examples

01: Application

Type the Banner module for which the population selection was created
(usually STUDENT). If you uploaded G numbers using the Uploading process, use GENERAL.

Example: STUDENT

02: Selection ID

Type the Population Selection ID you used to create your population selection in earlier steps.


03: Population Creator ID

Type the type of population selection you used in earlier steps (usually COMMON)

Example: COMMON

04: Effective Term Code

Type in the Term Code associated with the term you wan. What classes did your population of students register for during that term?

Example: 201404 for Fall 2014

05: Start Date

Type in the earliest date your population would have registered for for the term in question.

Example: if you want to get all students in your population and you chose Fall 2014 for Effective Term Code above, type in the earliest date to register for classes that term,


(note the format for the date)

  1. When you have finished entering the parameter values above, click the Next Section icon.

  2. Click the Save button on the button right of your screen.

  3. Open Report Viewer and view your report.
