TSAAREV provides a quick snapshot of a student's account history. With TSAAREV, you can see a student's account balance, see if they have a hold on their account, and view details about individual transactions. Questions from students regarding their account activity can often be answered by accessing this page.



Directions:
  1. From the Banner Main Menu screen, type TSAAREV, then press Enter


When you first enter TSAAREV, the following screen may appear:

If this occurs, press the exit Exit icon to exit this screen and open TSAAREV.

  1. Type in the student's ID Number (G #).
    • If you do not know the G Number, look it up by clicking on the 3 dots just to the right of the ID field. For details about searching for a G#, see our ID Search Tips.

  2. Click on the Go button.

If the account does NOT have holds, the curser will land in the lower section of the screen and account detail will be displayed.

If the account does have holds:

  • The cursor will stop at the "Holds" field (located on the right side, in the top section of the page). A  "Y" for Yes will be displayed, indicating that a hold exists.

  • You will also see see the following message on the bottom left of your screen:  

    *ERROR* Person has holds, you may not process this account.

  • Always view hold details to determine if the hold has relevance to your contact with the student. If there are any holds it will show to the right of the "Holds" heading.

  • To view comments regarding the hold, access Banner page TGACPRF.

To navigate to the lower section of the page in spite of the hold status, type "OVR" (for override) in the field just to the right of the "Y" hold field. (Your typing will appear as " * * * " stars.) Next, click on the Next Section icon to move to the Account Details section.

 

Interpreting the Results

The "Account Details" section shows one line for each transaction that has taken place on this account.
An explanation of each detail category is provided below:

An identifying account code that specifies the type of transaction performed.

For a complete list of Banner detail codes, click on the down-arrow located just below the heading title "Detail Code."

Provides a brief description of the Detail Code type.The term during which the  transaction was processed.If there was a debit or charge involved in this transaction, the amount will be indicated here.

If the amount is negative, it means that the charge was reversed by PCC.

If there was a credit or payment to the student's account, the amount  will be indicated here.


If the amount is negative, it means that the payment was reversed by PCC.

Balance of this transaction: "charge" and "payment" taken together.Indicates the financial process which generated the transaction.

Most common PCC Source Codes:

C = Contract
E = Exemption
F = Fin. Aid
I = Installment
Q = Refund Check
R = Registration Module
T = Charge/Payment Transaction

Date the transaction was processed in Banner.

 

The bottom portion of the screen shows Balance Fields. An description of these fields is provided below:

The sum of the amounts in the  "Balance" column in the section above.

Please be advised that the Query Balance column can be misleading. Use the "Account Balance" field to determine account balance.

Total amount owed by the student.

This may differ from the "Amount Due" if the student is on a payment plan, for example.

Amount currently due and payable.

See note at left.

Amounts that have been "memoed" will show here. This is typically done for old charges that are considered uncollectable, but are still due and payable to the College. Any number other than "0" indicates the number of NSF checks that have been returned unpaid.(Not used at PCC.)
