The Banner report SWRFTHD gives you a summary of total FTE, unduplicated headcount, and enrollment (seats taken) for a given group of classes.

 

 SWRFTHD can only be run one term at a time, and the term chosen must be within two years of the current term. To get enrollment information for terms older than two years, use the report SWRFTEX instead.

 

SWRFTHD shows enrollment numbers separately for new, continuing and returning students, and then provides a total for all three groups combined. This report draws from "live" Banner data; therefore the numbers will change over time. (For a report that calculates FTE totals based on "static" data, refer to SWRFTEX.) The following definitions apply when interpreting this report:

  • New student: First term of enrollment at PCC
  • Continuing student: Continuing enrollment from prior term (continuation to fall term may be from either the preceding spring or summer term)
  • Returning student: Re-enrolled for classes after stopping out for one or more terms

Directions:
  1.  From the Banner Main Menu, type SWRFTHD, then press Enter on your keyboard.

  2. Click the Go button.
  3. Click the Next Section icon.  
    (Or, just click with your mouse in the "Parameter Values" section as shown in the picture below.)
    This will move your curser to the "Parameter Values" section.

 

    4. On the right side, type in your parameter values. Use the table below as a guide:

01 Term CodeThe academic Term -- for example, 201602 for Spring 2016.

This report must be run for one term at a time, and the term must be within two years.

02 Attendance Method
Optional, but recommended -- The Attendance Method code associated with your department's classes  -- for example, N4 for PCC Prep Alternative Programs.

Use "%" for all if you don't want to narrow your report down based on Attendance Method.

You can specify more than one Attendance Method by typing in the first code, then clicking on the Insert icon. In the blank line that appears, type "02" (for paramet er #2), then type in the second attendance method code.

03 Campus CodeOptional -- The course campus Code for the campus you want.

Use "%" for all if you don't want to narrow your report down based on Campus.

1 = Sylvania

2 = Cascade

3 = Rock Creek

4 = SE Campus

(Note: Until Spring 2015, '4' was used to designate the 'Extended Learning Campus', which included SE Campus as well as Workforce and Community Education classes)

W = Workforce and Community Education (from Summer 2015 to the present)

5 = Contract Out of District

6 = Education Services

7 = Tillamook Bay

8 = Columbia Gorge

04 Subject CodeOptional -- The Subject Code (like BI for Biology classes). 

Use "%" for all if you don't want to narrow your report down based on Subject.

05 Session Code
Optional -- Some programs use Session Codes. To see a list of session codes, with your curser in the 'Values' column of the Session Code line click on the 3 dots (located just to the right).

Use "%" for all if you don't want to narrow your report down based on Session Code.

06 Building Code

Optional -- Enter a Building Code to get enrollment information based on a specific PCC building. To see a list of builidng codes, with your curser in the 'Values' column of the Building Codes line click on the 3 dots (located just to the right). Use "%" for all if you don't want to narrow your report down based on a Building Code.

07 CRNOptional -- Enter a CRN, or use % for all CRNs for that term. See instructions for Parameter 02 above for information about how to enter more than one CRN.
08 Major CodeOptional -- Enter a Major Code, or use % for all majors. See instructions for Parameter 02 above for information about how to enter more than one Major Code.
09 Level CodeOptional -- Enter a Level Code -- for example, CR for credit classes, NC for non-credit -- or use % for all levels.
10 Organization Code

Optional -- Enter a department budget code (Orgn. Code), or use "%" for all if you don't want to narrow your report down based on Orgn. Code. See instructions for Parameter 02 above for information about how to enter more than one Orgn. Code.

      5. When you are finished completing the above parameters, click the Next Section  icon.

      6. Click the Save button.
